Architectural salvage from old Havelis in Rajasthan. Carved sandstone niches were usually placed outside the entry to use as decorative places for oil lamps. They were especially important to be lite during the festival of lights, Diwali. These niches come in many designs but always hollowed out in the center to hold the flame.
