An original ‘back-water’ canoe from the Indian state of Kerala. This area is famous for it’s canals, lagoons and islands lush with coconut palms. Hand dug-out teak wood with some planking and ribbing (added later?), then painted black. One side a little flat from laying on it’s side in the tropical heat and rain. Make a great serving display table for food dishes or a hanging light or just to display. Wear consistent with age.
