StoneHouse Artifacts have queen size rosewood spindle beds made to U.S. mattress sizes with the head board raised so as to fully show when today’s pillow-top mattresses are placed on. All rosewood used is from recycled beams from old Chettinad mansions including the bed slats. Besides the quality and richness of grain and color of old growth timbers, there is no shrinkage or movement when shipped to a different climate. This is often the case with new wooden furniture when recently harvested wood is used in the construction.
Our India day-beds are unique as two of them are old growth wide-plank rosewood and of very hard to find quality. Both would make excellent coffee tables in a large room.
