An antique Indo-Portugese Catholic reliquery. This is a very scarce piece of Portugese-Christian influence from a church in Southwest India. This piece has an array of spiritual symbols on it, including a metal crucifix embedded in the top, an all seeing eye, a dove, grape leaves, a sunburst, roses, wheat, and a chalice painted on the front. Two very old sacramental linens inside which are original to the piece. Original varnish and paint. Wear consistent with age and use.
