Antique Bookcases & Shelves

These bookcases and displays came out of old homes and offices from the colonial era of India, both French, British and Indian. Glass bookcases were used to help protect books from the moisture and humidity during the monsoon season. All have been restored, some with new glass installed. However they still show an aged patina. The open shelves (if available) are newly constructed from old door frames with the rest of the cabinet consisting of matching older wood from former pieces of furniture or salvage.
